Investing — the research lens

Follow the investing research lens across the Digital Assets Journal, with focused reading and questions to investigate next.

Apply this tag as a lens on the economic argument inside each article. Follow the chain from a proposed use to an asset’s utility or holder rights, then identify the costs and assumptions between them. The question is whether the conclusion follows from the evidence presented. Keep a useful product, a popular narrative, and a particular investment arrangement distinct in your notes.

Use the investing research overview for structure and the funds and startups page when an intermediary or company shapes the outcome. Write the strongest alternative explanation for the same evidence. That exercise can reveal where a thesis needs more support before it becomes a confident claim.

Questions to carry into your reading

  • How does the proposed benefit reach this asset’s holder?
  • Which costs or conditions interrupt that connection?
  • What other explanation could account for the same evidence?
