Due diligence — the research lens

Follow the due diligence research lens across the Digital Assets Journal, with focused reading and questions to investigate next.

Use this tag to evaluate the quality of the evidence behind a claim. Identify what was observed, who supplied the information, and which conclusion the information can reasonably support. A demonstration, agreement, technical review, and financial record answer different questions. Keep their scopes visible instead of treating one reassuring document as a complete explanation.

The investing overview provides a research-note structure, and the topic directory helps locate the relevant subject guide. For each tagged article, record an unanswered question and the evidence that could resolve it. Also note what would change your interpretation. That makes further research purposeful and helps prevent a growing collection of sources from becoming a substitute for analysis.

Questions to carry into your reading

  • Which conclusion does this evidence directly support?
  • What lies outside the scope of the document or observation?
  • What additional evidence would resolve the most important uncertainty?
